Though the forecast was for rain, it turned out to be a pretty nice day. My first attempt at a slow cooked BBQ Beef Brisket even worked out. Alondra celebrated the big birthday #1 surrounded by family. With the encouragement of a certain cousin, she decided not to wait for the cake to be cut.Alondra says thanks for all the wonderful gifts.
Surgery is on for 7:30am on the 12th. A little over a week away. We're planning a 4 to 6 week stay in the hospital. I'll keep everyone updated on how things are going with this blog.
